Welcome to the (only slightly insane) Alphabetical Anime Project! I'm Kimura, and for years now I have been tinkering with this idea, re-tooling it, then ignoring it for months, then re-tooling it again...you get the picture.
So what is the Alphabetical Anime Project (AAP), you ask? Well, it all started back in 2007, the year I joined MyAnimeList (MAL). Being new to anime, I was binge watching like crazy but picking out what to watch was (for some reason) a daunting task for me. I very quickly figured out that the Recommendations board was completely useless and, aside from a couple of my MAL pals at the time, I was on my own.
Hence the AAP was born. Put simply, it started as an idea to watch stuff in alphabetical order, starting with # and going through Z. It didn't take long for me to realize that this method was batshit crazy and would never work. So I began to try variations on it. And more variations. And more and more.....
So here I am today, in the year 2016, coming back to this crazy batshit insane idea. I once said something along the lines of "to be original in this day and age, you have to do something so completely off from the norm that it's nonsensical and just completely fucked in every way".
Yeah, pretty much.
Let's do this, shall we?
